by Aleksei Konstantinovich Tolstoy, Count (1817 - 1875)

Sleza drožit v tvoëm revnivom vzore
Language: Russian (Русский)
Our translations:  ENG FRE
Sleza drožit v tvoëm revnivom vzore,
O, ne grusti, ty vsë mne doroga,
No ja ljubit' mogu liš' na prostore,
Moju ljubov', širokuju kak more,
Vmestit' ne [mogut žizni]1 berega.

Kogda Glagola tvorčeskaja sila
Tolpy mirov vozzvala iz noči,
Ljubov' ich vse, kak solnce, ozarila,
I liš' na zemlju k nam eë svetila
Nischodjat porozn' redkie luči.

I porozn' ich otyskivaja žadno,
My lovim otblesk večnoj krasoty;
Nam vest'ju les o nej šumit otradnoj,
O nej potok gremit struëju chladnoj
I govorjat, kačajasja, cvety.

I ljubim my ljubov'ju razdroblennoj
I tichij šëpot verby nad ruč'ëm,
I miloj devy vzor, na nas sklonennyj,
I zvëzdnyj blesk, i vse krasy vselennoj,
I ničego my vmeste ne sol'ëm.

No ne grusti, zemnoe minet gore,
Poždi eščë, nevolja nedolga --
V odnu ljubov' my vse sol'ëmsja vskore,
V odnu ljubov', širokuju kak more,
Čto ne [vmestjat]3 zemnye berega.
