Che ricco cielo! Stella accanto a stella! Chi ne conosce i nomi? Nella sala piena di sfarzo e di splendore occhi, chiudetevi: ora non è tempo di stupirsi e rallegrarsi. - Il cantore strinse gli occhi e toccò le corde a pieno suono; i cavalieri guardavano arditi, con gli occhi bassi, le belle. Il re, a cui piacque la canzone, gli fece portare, in onore della sua arte, una catena d'oro. - La catena d'oro non darla a me, la catena dalla ai cavalieri, davanti al cui aspetto fiero le lance dei nemici vanno in pezzi.
