Da'duo begli occhi che legato m'ànno;

E benedetto il primo dolce affanno
Ch'i' ebbi ad esser con Amor congiunto,
E l'arco e la saette ond' i' fui punto,
E le piaghe, ch'infino al cor mi vanno.

Benedette le voci tante, ch'io
Chiamando il nome di Laura ho sparte,
E i sospiri e le lagrime e 'l desio.

E benedette sian tutte le carte
Ov'io fama le acquisto, e il pensier mio,
Ch'è sol di lei, si ch'altra non v'ha parte.

y la estación, el tiempo, la hora y el punto, 
y el bello país y el lugar donde me alcanzaron 
dos bellos ojos, que me han atado. 

Y bendito el primer dulce afán 
que tuve por unirme al Amor, 
y el arco y la saeta con que fui punzado, 
y las heridas que llegan hasta mi corazón. 

Benditas las tantas voces 
que esparcí llamando el nombre de Laura, 
y los suspiros, las lágrimas y el deseo. 

Y benditos sean todos los escritos 
con que extendí su fama, y mi pensamiento, 
que es solo de ella, que ninguna otra comparte.
