א   מִזְמוֹר לְדָוִד:    
  יְהוָה רֹעִי, לֹא אֶחְסָר.
ב   בִּנְאוֹת דֶּשֶׁא, יַרְבִּיצֵנִי;
      עַל-מֵי מְנֻחוֹת יְנַהֲלֵנִי.
ג    נַפְשִׁי יְשׁוֹבֵב; 
     יַנְחֵנִי בְמַעְגְּלֵי-צֶדֶק, לְמַעַן שְׁמוֹ.
ד    גַּם כִּי-אֵלֵךְ בְּגֵיא צַלְמָוֶת, לֹא-אִירָא רָע--    כִּי-אַתָּה עִמָּדִי;
   שִׁבְטְךָ וּמִשְׁעַנְתֶּךָ,    הֵמָּה יְנַחֲמֻנִי.
ה   תַּעֲרֹךְ לְפָנַי, שֻׁלְחָן--    נֶגֶד צֹרְרָי;
   דִּשַּׁנְתָּ בַשֶּׁמֶן רֹאשִׁי,    כּוֹסִי רְוָיָה.
ו    אַךְ, טוֹב וָחֶסֶד יִרְדְּפוּנִי--    כָּל-יְמֵי חַיָּי;
   וְשַׁבְתִּי בְּבֵית-יְהוָה,    לְאֹרֶךְ יָמִים.

Bin'ot deshe yarbitseini,
Al mei m'nuhot y'nachaleini,
Naf'shi y'shovev,
Yancheini b'ma'aglei tsedek,
L'ma'an sh'mo.
Gam ki eilech
B'gei tsalmavet,
Lo ira ra,
Ki Atah imadi.
Shiv't'cha umishan'techa
Hemah y'nachamuni.
Ta'aroch l'fanai shulchan
Neged tsor'rai
Dishanta vashemen roshi
Cosi r'vayah.
Ach tov vahesed
Yird'funi kol y'mei chayai,

2. Er lagert mich auf grüne Weide;
   Er leitet mich an stillen Bächen:
3. Er labt mein schmachtendes Gemüth,
   [Und]¹ führt mich auf gerechtem Steige,
   Zu seines Namens Ruhm. -
4. Und wall' ich auch im [Todesschattenthale]²;
   So wall' ich ohne Furcht:
   Denn du [begleitest]³ mich.
   Dein Stab und deine Stütze
   [Sind]⁴ immerdar mein Trost.
5. Du richtest mir ein Freudenmahl
   Im Angesicht der Feinde zu:
   Du salbst mein Haupt mit Oele,
   Und schenkst mir [volle]⁵ Becher ein;
6. Mir folget Heil und Seligkeit
