by Heinrich Heine (1797 - 1856)
Translation by Apollon Nikolayevich Maykov (1821 - 1897)

Es leuchtet meine Liebe
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  CAT DUT ENG FRE
Es leuchtet meine Liebe,
In ihrer dunkeln Pracht,
Wie'n Märchen traurig und trübe,
Erzählt in der Sommernacht.

"Im Zaubergarten wallen
Zwei Buhlen, stumm und allein;
Es singen die Nachtigallen,
Es flimmert der Mondenschein.

"Die Jungfrau steht still wie ein Bildnis,
Der Ritter vor ihr kniet.
Da kommt der Riese der Wildnis,
Die bange Jungfrau flieht.

"Der Ritter sinkt blutend zur Erde,
Es stolpert der Riese nach Haus -"
Wenn ich begraben werde,
Dann ist das Märchen aus.

So vsem, chto jest' dikogo v nej,
S tainstvennym bleskom i bredom,
Sozdanije zharkikh nochej.

Vot — «rycar' i deva guljali
V volshebnom sadu mezh cvetov…
Krugom solov'i grokhotali,

Nema byla deva, kak mramor…
K nogam jejo rycar' prinik…
I vdrug velikan k nim podkhodit,
Ischezla krasavica vmig…

Upal okrovavlennyj rycar'…
Ischez velikan…» a potom…
Potom… Vot kogda pokhoronjat
Menja — to i skazka s koncom!..
