Durch die wolkige Maiennacht Geht ein leises Schallen, Wie im Wald die Tropfen sacht Auf die Blätter fallen. Welch' ein ahnungsreicher Duft Weht aus allen Baumen! Dunkel webt es in der Luft Wie von Zukunftsträumen. Da im Hauch der auf mich sinkt, Dehnt sich all' mein Wesen, Und die müde Seele trinkt Schauerndes Genesen: Müde Seele, hoffe nur, Morgen kommt die Sonne, Und du blühst mit Wald und Flur Hell in Frühlingswonne!
