La meva cançó ressona, plena d'ànsies de viatge,
quan travessem el món,
només a la vasta plana de la Puszta
pot, alegrement, ressonar el meu cant.

La meva cançó ressona, plena d'amor,
també quan tempestes esclaten a l'ermàs 
i quan, alliberat pel darrer alè,
el cor del germà s'enlaira!

Qui encara pot cantar en el sofriment,
viurà, el seu cant no morirà!

wünscht, daß alles Gold jetzt aus der Welt verschwindet!
