Ach neige,/ Du Schmerzenreiche

Ach neige,
Du Schmerzenreiche,
Dein [Antlitz gnädig]1 meiner Noth!

Das Schwert im Herzen,
Mit tausend Schmerzen
Blickst auf zu deines Sohnes Tod.

Zum Vater blickst du,
Und Seufzer schickst du
Hinauf um sein' und deine Noth.

Wer fühlet,
Wie wühlet
Der Schmerz mir im Gebein?
Was mein armes Herz hier banget,
Was es zittert, was verlanget,
Weißt nur du, nur du allein!

Wohin ich immer gehe,
Wie weh, wie weh, wie wehe
Wird mir im Busen hier!
Ich bin ach kaum alleine,
Ich wein', ich wein', ich weine,
Das Herz zerbricht in mir.

Die Scherben vor meinem Fenster
Bethaut' ich mit Thränen, ach!
Als ich am frühen Morgen
Dir diese Blumen brach.

Schien hell in meine Kammer
Die Sonne früh herauf,
Saß ich in allem Jammer
In meinem Bett' schon auf.

Hilf! rette mich von Schmach und Tod!
Ach neige,
Du Schmerzenreiche,
Dein Antlitz gnädig meiner Noth!

Io ti prego, Dolorosa
Language: Italian (Italiano)  after the German (Deutsch)
Io ti prego, Dolorosa,
benignamente posa,
sul mio tormento il Tuo sguardo!

Con il cuore trafitto
E un infinito dolore
Guardi Tuo figlio morire.

Al Padre gli occhi rivolgi
E con sospiri lo invochi
Per la Tua e la Sua pena

Chi può sentire
Come questo dolore
Nelle ossa mi fruga?
Ciò che angoscia il mio cuore,
ciò per cui trema e sospira,
Lo puoi capire Tu sola!

Ovunque io mi reco,
oh quanta, quanta, pena
mi assale in fondo al petto!
E se sola rimango,
io piango così tanto
che il cuore mi si spezza.

Ho bagnato di lacrime
i vasi alla finestra,
quando questa mattina
ho colto, per te, i fiori.

Nella mia stanza il sole
entrava con il suo chiarore,
Io già mi alzavo dal letto
con tutto il mio dolore

Tu sola puoi salvarmi da vergogna e da morte!
Io ti prego, Dolorosa,
benignamente posa
sul mio tormento il tuo sguardo.
