Da droben auf jenem Berge
Language: German (Deutsch)
Available translation(s): CAT DUT ENG ENG FRE ITA ITA RUS
Da droben auf jenem Berge,
Da steh' ich tausendmal,
An meinem Stabe [gebogen]1
Und [schaue]2 hinab in das Thal.

Dann folg' ich der weidenden Herde,
Mein Hündchen bewahret mir sie.
Ich bin herunter gekommen
Und weiß doch selber nicht wie.

Da [stehet]3 von schönen Blumen
[Die]4 ganze Wiese so voll.
Ich breche sie, ohne zu wissen,
Wem ich sie geben soll.

Und Regen, Sturm und Gewitter
[Verpass']5 ich unter dem Baum.
Die Thüre dort bleibet verschlossen;
[Doch]6 alles ist leider ein Traum.

Es stehet ein Regenbogen
Wohl über jenem Haus!
Sie aber ist [weggezogen]7,
[Und]8 weit in das Land hinaus.

Hinaus in das Land und weiter,
Vielleicht gar über die See.
Vorüber, ihr Schafe, [vorüber]9!
Dem Schäfer ist gar so weh.

F. Holstein sets stanzas 3-?

Language: Russian (Русский)  after the German (Deutsch)
Vvepchu, tam, na gopnoj vepšine,
Už tysjaču paz ja stojal.
Na posoch pastušij opepšis',
V dolinu ja vzgljad ustpemljal.

JA šël za pasuščimsja stadom,
A pës pomogal mne pasti.
Donyne ja tak i ne znaju,
Kak smog ja v dolinu sojti.

polna vsja dolina cvetami,
Ich stol'ko vokpug po lugam.
JA ich sobipal, sam ne znaja,
Komu te cvety ja otdam.

Byl dožd', byli bupi i gpozy -
pod depevom ich pepeždu.
No dvep' ostavalas' zakpytoj,
Vsë bylo liš' son, kak v bpedu.

Tam paduga v nebe vysokom
Nad domom, kak apka v vysi.
Ljubov' moja nyne dalëko,
I mne do neë ne dojti.

Navek razdelilo nas more,
Na dal'nich ona beregach.
Ostalos', ovečki, liš' gore.
Vsë končeno dlja pastucha.
