Er was ooit eens een koning;
Die had een grote vlo.

Hij werd meteen minister,
En droeg een grote ster.
Zijn broers en zusters schopten
Aan ’t hof het ook heel ver.
 
Maar ’t regende reclames:
Het hof werd zeer geplaagd,
De koningin en hofdames
Gestoken en belaagd.
Maar de vlo mocht men niet pakken
En krabben mocht ook niet.
Wij knijpen en wij prakken,
