Am fernen Horizonte
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  CAT DUT ENG FIN FRE GRE IRI ITA KOR LIT NOR SPA
Am fernen Horizonte
Erscheint, wie ein Nebelbild,
Die Stadt mit ihren Thürmen,
In Abenddämmrung gehüllt.

Ein feuchter Windzug kräuselt
Die graue Wasserbahn;
Mit traurigem Tacte rudert
Der Schiffer in meinem Kahn.

Die Sonne hebt sich noch einmal
Leuchtend vom Boden empor,
Und zeigt mir jene Stelle,
Wo ich das Liebste verlor.

Byen
Language: Norwegian (Bokmål)  after the German (Deutsch)
Ved fjerne horisonter
viser seg , som et tåkebilde,
byen med sine tårn
innhyllet i kveldsskumring.

Et fuktig vinddrag kruser
Det grå vannet;
Med en trist takt ror
skipperen min pram.

Solen stiger nok en gang
lysende opp fra  marken
og viser meg hvert et sted,
Hvor jeg mistet min elskede.

Translation of title "Die Stadt" = "Byen"
