Und mein Herz mit seinem empfindsamen Beben fragt meine Seele: Sag! kann es das geben? Kann solche Trennung denn wirklich sein, so trotzig und doch so traurig sein? Und drauf die Seele zu meinem Herzen: Weiss ich selbst denn, wozu diese heftigen Schmerzen, so nah sich zu fühlen und doch getrennt, von einander gerissen, wo das Herz doch so brennt?
