Mir träumte einst ein schöner Traum: Mich liebte eine blonde Maid; Es war am grünen Waldesraum, Es war zur warmen Frühlingszeit: Die Knospe sprang, der Waldbach schwoll, Fern aus dem Dorfe scholl Geläut -- Wir waren ganzer Wonne voll, Versunken ganz in Seligkeit. Und schöner noch als einst [im]1 Traum Begab es sich in Wirklichkeit -- Es war am grünen Waldesraum, Es war zur warmen Frühlingszeit: Der Waldbach schwoll, die Knospe sprang, Geläut erscholl vom Dorfe her -- Ich hielt dich fest, ich hielt dich lang -- Und lasse dich nun nimmermehr! かつて素敵な夢を見た 金髪の少女が僕を愛していた そこは緑の森の中 暖かな春の季節だった つぼみは開き、森の小川は水を増し 遠くの村から鐘の音が響いた 私達は喜びに満ち溢れ 幸福に浸っていた そしてかつてのその夢より素晴らしいことが 現実に起こった それは緑の森の中 暖かな春の季節だった 森の小川は水を増し、つぼみが開き 遠くの村から鐘の音が響き渡った 君をしっかりと、長く抱きしめた 君をもう一生離さない! おお、春の緑あふれる森よ! その場所は僕の中でずっと生き続けるだろう そこで現実は夢となり そこで夢は現実となったのだ!
