Translation by Jaroslav Vrchlický (1853 - 1912)

There be none of Beauty's daughters
Language: English
Available translation(s): DUT ITA
There be none of Beauty's daughters
  With a magic like thee;
And like music on the waters
  Is thy sweet voice to me:
When, as if its sound were causing
The [charmèd]1 ocean's pausing,
The waves lie still and gleaming,
And the lull'd winds seem dreaming:

And the midnight moon is weaving
  Her bright chain o'er the deep;
Whose breast is gently heaving
  As an infant's asleep:
So the spirit bows before thee,
To listen and adore thee;
With a full but soft emotion,
Like the swell of Summer's ocean.

Sloky pro hudbu
Language: Czech (Čeština)  after the English
Žádná, věř mi, z všech dcer krásy
nesrovná se s krásou tvou,
zní mi sladké tvoje hlasy
jako hudba nad vodou,
když se moře zkolébalo,
jaté v čas by naslouchalo,
světlé vlnky jen se pění,
uspán zdřímne vítr v snění.

Půlnoční když měsíc z ticha
tká svůj řetěz v tůni vln,
jichž prs v spánku sotva dýchá
jak sen děcka čarupln;
duch můj před tebou se sklání,
plesem zpitý, v zadumání
zkolebán a prostý hoře
jako v letní večer moře.
