Nur wer die Sehnsucht kennt
Weiß, was ich leide!
Allein und abgetrennt
Von aller Freude

[Ach,]3 der mich liebt und kennt,
Ist in der Weite.
Es [schwindelt]4 mir, es brennt

Language: Czech (Čeština)  after the German (Deutsch)
Jen ten, kdo touhu zná,
ví, jak mne moří!
Když sedíc smutna, samotna
a zůstavena hoři,
zřím ke slunci, jež od hor plá,
až hlava je mi těžká.
Ach! kdo mne ctí a kdo mne zná,
ten v dáli mešká.
I závrať mne už pojímá,
mé nitro hoří.
Jen ten, kdo touhu zná,
ví, jak mne moří!
