el doble cant
per tota la vall resplendent de lluna.

De què cantava l'ocellet en el brancam
en la tranquil·la, encisadora nit de maig?

I de què cantava adés la donzella
en la tranquil·la, encisadora nit de maig?
Del sol de primavera l'ocellet,
de delit d'amor la donzella.
Com aquest cant 
m'arribà fins al cor,
